The Story Behind Hartey Wealth Management

We’ve been around since 2014, but for many the story of how we got here is unknown. Here, Karl Hartey explains the idea behind the business and what they are striving to achieve for their clients.

“The vision of the company was to adopt a totally fresh client first approach whilst drawing on our twenty five years of experience running a regional business, providing clients with the very best unbiased independent financial advice.

Our fierce commitment to independence means there are no hidden fees or commissions, no external shareholders and no bias to any retail providers to cloud our vision or promote conflicts of interest. We are singularly focused on providing advice and solutions that champion our clients’ best interests.

As such we’re putting our future success in the hands of our clients. We’ve turned our backs on the typical commission you would receive from ordinary insurance companies and have chosen to sit on the same side of the desk as our clients to represent them rather than be the middle man. We aim to keep things fair and let our clients simply pay our fee only, not those of us and others too.

Our trademarked Second Opinion Service – a service which provides a completely unbiased opinion on the investments, pensions and finances of clients and prospective clients, giving them a greater insight and understanding of how they are performing and whether they are making the right decisions – ensures our clients are taken on a thorough journey, allowing them to consider the improvements we could make to their risk levels, their charges and their investment performance.

Three years from launch we’re delighted to have become a multi-award winning company, having won accolades such as Best for Financial Planning – England at the Wealth & Money Management Awards 2017 and Best Family-Owned Wealth Management Firm and Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the UK Enterprise Awards 2017. We’ve launched our ‘Educate My Money’ book which can be brought on Amazon, plus relationships with our clients are thriving and as such we’re successfully achieving consistent 5* reviews based on our integrity, honesty and knowledge.

Getting financial advice isn’t a decision to be taken lightly so it’s important we’re on hand to offer a professional, clear and tailored service. The awards we’ve won are a huge achievement and I’m delighted that our hard work and commitment to our clients is being recognised.
