Will McBride
DIRECTOR & SENIOR TECHNICAL CONSULTANT
Will’s role at Hartey Wealth Management is a varied one. He heads up the investment team and plays a vital role when it comes to managing, monitoring, and reviewing the Hartey Wealth Management advisory portfolios, which he has been doing since 2014.
The other side of his role is a technical one, consisting of product and platform due diligence, keeping abreast of regulatory or legislation changes to implement any changes when necessary.
He has been in the financial profession since 1999. He’s an IMD (Investment Management Diploma) holder through CFA UK since 2022 after obtaining the IMC in 2021 and the CFA Institutes Certificate in ESG Investing in 2022. He also holds the Diploma in Financial Advice (DipFA) through the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) since 2013, as well as obtaining the level 6 Managing Investment qualification also through the LIBF in 2017.
He enjoys the variety of his role, whether that be on the investment side or the advice side. No two days are ever the same - one day he could be writing a piece for our newsletter and the next day he might be meeting with a fund manager.
When he’s not at work, Will enjoys road cycling, hiking and snooker. He also likes to attend a weekly quiz in the local village and reads in his spare time.

Daniel Claydon
CLIENT MANAGER
Daniel Claydon
CLIENT MANAGER
Dan works within the Client Service Team, managing the client relationship from the point of onboarding as a new client – he’s often the point of contact in the first instance for our clients. His role can be very varied, from overseeing applications with different providers and platforms for any type of product that has been recommended, through to managing ongoing client maintenance, withdrawal requests and amending income payments. He orchestrates enquiries and ad-hoc requests for information from clients, and from the providers we have accounts with. Keeping clients informed and overseeing enquiries to resolution keeps him busy and constantly tests the realms of his knowledge.
Dan has been working in the financial industry for 21 years. Prior to working at Hartey Wealth Management, he worked on the fund provider and platform side of the table, mainly involved in training and quality control.
Dan sees the most rewarding part of his role as overseeing a complex application through to completion, whilst keeping the client informed the whole time. As much as he enjoys the challenge of working with different providers and overcoming obstacles to achieve completeness, the most rewarding part for him is communicating with our clients.
Outside work, Dan enjoys cooking, reading, decorating, DIY and property development, spending time with family and friends and adventures with the dog.
