Private equity and infrastructure investor Foresight Group have announced plans to invest more than £100 million in Cheshire and across the wider North West economy.
Foresight has a track record of supporting local companies and investing venture capital funds in regional growth across the area. They work closely with founders and management teams keen to grow their businesses responsibly and sustainably.
Previous recipients of its investment include a £9.97 million contract with Trak Global Security Solutions, a Crewe-based tech business focused on vehicle security, electronics manufacturer Assembly Contracts Limited, located in Wythenshawe, and Red Flag Alert, a business intelligence software provider.
Foresights’ first fund dedicated to the North West invested in 17 companies, including Liverpool-based Mowgli Street Food, Salford’s Clubhouse Golf and DA Languages, a translation services provider in Manchester, Cheshire-based pharmaceutical containment equipment specialist ONFAB, and community driven healthcare service provider ABL in Bolton. This fund has helped create more than 1,800 jobs across the region.
In a statement, Foresight Group Partner Claire Alvarez praised the North West as a region to grow a business, and said that it had been a privilege to work with the area’s outstanding entrepreneurs and companies across a wide range of different market sectors. She added that Foresight Group are always keen to build on their existing investments and expand their local network, meeting businesses and their advisers to explore options.
