Phase two of Shrewsbury business development under way

The latest phase in the development of Shrewsbury’s Stadium Point Business Park will see new mid-sized warehousing units built to meet the industrial distribution needs of companies across Shropshire.

This is following the granting of planning permission in January. The park is situated on Oteley Road, next to Shrewsbury Town’s Croud Stadium, and the project is scheduled to be finished by November.

This latest phase will provide an extra 20,000 ft² of industrial space, and is the first of four planned office buildings being constructed by Shropshire-based commercial property developers Morris Property.

In total, the development will be constructed across 28 acres, with 33 units envisaged. Work began in January and is progressing on schedule for the completion of the new space.

According to Morris Property, the flagship business park will present a selection of new build and build-to-suit opportunities around the south of Shrewsbury, helping to boost the local economy. This will feature a mix of speculative and more bespoke units, which can be used for diverse facilities ranging from offices to distribution warehousing.

This project comes on the back of a £9.5 million design and build project in Telford, which is scheduled to be finished later in 2024.

The Hortonwood 45 project is on a 11.2-acre site, which will be the setting of a large 107,000ft² distribution warehouse facility. Morris Property have been working in close partnership with Shropshire Council, who support inward investment across Shropshire and Mid Wales.
