JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone and BlackRock will now be counted among the top global financiers taking part in a green summit here in Britain. The upcoming conference aims to generate billions of pounds worth of investment for the United Kingdom.
Over 200 investors are set to attend the summit this month. The event will be hosted by UK’s Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and will precede the climate summit UN COP26, which is taking place in Glasgow later in the year.
The investor-focused event will involve a dedicated reception held at Windsor Castle and will be attended by members of Britain’s royal family, along with a conference and after-event dinner in the capital.
Companies and consumers seeking expert advice on assets and investment planning in Chester, London and other UK cities can look to wealth management firms for comprehensive support. From creating well-balanced portfolios with a measured approach to risk and return to an unbiased assessment of existing assets, wealth managers offer a diverse range of services.
The majority of individuals invited are foreign financiers. These include Chief Executive for Goldman Sachs, David Solomon, the boss for JPMorgan, Jamie Dimon, Larry Fink of BlackRock and co-founder of Blackstone, Stephen Schwarzman. Additionally, representatives from top sovereign wealth funds, like Mubadala and GIC, will also be in attendance.
Back in 2019, Britain took on one of the world’s most difficult climate targets when it legislated an emissions target of net-zero carbon by the year 2050. It is expected that the number of investment commitments and deals for the UK will be announced at the upcoming summit.
