Cheshire businesses feature in The Sunday Times 100

People investment planning in Cheshire will likely have taken note of the latest Sunday Times 100. The list of the UK’s fastest-growing businesses is an annual ranking that profiles the country’s leading entrepreneurial businesses, showcasing dynamic individuals and companies to watch.

Of the 100 companies on this year’s list, over a third (36) were London-based, with the others spread out across Britain, including 18 in the North West, seven across the border in Wales and a further six in the West Midlands.

Two companies based in Cheshire made the list. In 24th spot was 21D Clinical, a leading provider of dental care in Birchwood, Warrington, which has previously appeared on the list and recorded a spectacular 129.24% growth over the last three years.

Elsewhere, Wilmslow-based Apprentify was in 30th position. The digital and technical consultancy, which provides apprenticeships in data, digital marketing and software development, recorded sales totalling £14 million and 117% growth over three years.

Other featured businesses in the North West were Accrington-based fashion brand CAPO, another fashion brand Adanola from Manchester, and sportswear brand Montirex, based in Liverpool. In Warwickshire, management consultancy Cross 8 was described as the fastest-growing company in the Midlands.

The newspaper’s business editor, Jon Yeomans, described the Sunday Times 100 as the definitive guide to the UK’s fastest risers in business, offering a glimpse into the country’s ‘remarkable entrepreneurial spirit’. He added that it was ‘inspiring’ to observe companies not only record impressive growth but also provide thousands of employment opportunities.
