If you are tech investment planning in Cheshire, three Indian companies have started operating at Sci-Tech Daresbury. Its science and innovation campus has seen TIBS Global, Everleaves Systems and VenPep Solutions all set up there, as part of the Soft Landing programme.
The three firms focus on automation, IoT, software development, artificial intelligence and embedded engineering. Their arrival is the result of a two-year agreement between Invest Liverpool City Region and India’s Department for Business and Trade. This has seen the region promoted to over a hundred tech companies in India. Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram said the North West’s ability to attract international innovators was evidence of its growing global reputation as a hub for emerging tech. He has pledged to increase direct overseas investment by 25% before the decade is out.
The Indian companies bring a wealth of expertise in different fields. TIBS Global provides industrial IoT solutions for retrofitting traditional machinery applied to smart factory applications. Everleaves Systems specialises in embedded systems for the aerospace and automotive sectors. Meanwhile, VenPep Solutions focuses on AI and automation in areas such as safety, manufacturing, and community management. The companies cited the Cheshire campus’s good transport connections, on-site support and innovation ecosystem as major selling points ahead of their move.
The Sci-Tech Daresbury Soft Landing Programme was set up to encourage global innovators into the UK and European markets, and provides a range of targeted business support as well as access to networking opportunities. It is committed to building global partnerships to boost innovation and build economic success.
