A group that aims to address problems in the supply of homes in Shropshire has received a boost after agreeing a substantial funding package that will allow it to carry on its valuable work.
According to a recent Shropshire Star article, Housing Plus has secured an extension to a financing facility that allows it to move a step closer to achieving an ambitious plan to address the growing need for rental properties and shared ownership in the area.
Housing Plus currently manages 18,000 homes in Staffordshire and Shropshire, and it has a clear objective of supporting communities. In addition to employing more than 800 staff and delivering a wide range of care services, the group has already announced plans to make 2,000 new homes available in the two counties by 2023.
As a provider of financial advice in Shropshire, our view is that any measures to help improve the quality of homes in the county will have a broad impact on the health of the local economy, which is more important than ever following the financial effects of COVID-19. That is good news for businesses in the area, which should see growing demand as more people move into safer, higher-quality homes.
At Hartey Wealth Management, we can help those in Shropshire seeking financial advice. We admire the efforts of groups like Housing Plus Group and other businesses that are working to improve the lifestyles of people, and to provide care services that can help them during the current difficulties.
