With over 25 years experience in the industry I’m in no better place but to bring my wisdom, knowledge and experience throughout all areas of the company. I oversee all areas of our dedicated team, advising, commenting, and suggesting on how we can improve upon the service we are offering.

I could see there was room for something better in the realm of financial advice which is why we have redefined our model portfolios to give more choice and to tailor the portfolios to your needs, regardless of whether you want income, growth or have a strong ethical approach. I get great satisfaction from applying the knowledge I have gained (including those things I learned not to do) a second time around.

I believe we should be judged on results. I resolved from the first day of business that clients should be treated as individuals and their investment portfolios should reflect that and be regularly reviewed. We have never undertaken any business that does not hold us to account.

It makes my day when clients say how well we have understood them as individuals and what difference our advice has made to their lives. That’s when I feel we’ve done a good job. My role is really to make sure the right things happen – and to make sure things run smoothly. I am also responsible for the regulatory aspects of the business, so that we meet the capital adequacy requirements of the FCA and that we are always financially stable.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

As Operations Manager, I oversee the daily operations of the company which includes providing accounting and administration services and developing systems and processes ensuring they are efficient, lean and precise whether relating to systems, compliance or service.

As a stickler for detail, I ensure all the financial reporting is correct for Tristan to meet with the Hartey Wealth Management Board and FCA regulatory requirements. I also work within the Client Services Team, which is very important to me, as it keeps me involved with our clients and in the practical application of the processes and systems that have been put in place.

Will McBride

DIRECTOR & SENIOR TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

My role is a varied one and my days are busy with researching clients’ investment options; answering client queries and preparing their portfolio reviews.

I have over 15 years’ experience in the role working for Karl.  I develop Risk Management tools, and portfolio design.  I also implemented and oversaw the mass migration of funds from Property funds in 2008 pre-crash. We have a very active management approach to funds, and feel proud of our results.

I work within the Client Services Team, which is very important to me, as it keeps me involved with our clients and in the practical application of the processes and systems.

My role here is varied and constantly evolving, which is what I enjoy and it enables me to ensure that we continue to offer an exceptional level of service to our clients.

I have worked within financial services for the last 13 years, although mainly from the fund provider side of the table. I  joined the Client Service Team in May 2018 and have found my previous experience in the industry really beneficial as I know how lots of the platforms and fund providers work.

I enjoy being challenged and busy, following through with any client requests, applications or enquiries I receive – I like to be as involved with our clients as I can be. My aim is to provide the best level of customer service to our clients that I can.

I joined the business as a portfolio reviewer in 2018, which involved a keen eye for detail, whilst fulfilling this position I was actively studying for my Certificate in Paraplanning and Financial Administration (CertPFA), which I successfully gained in 2019. I am now working towards my Diploma for Paraplanners (DipPP), which I am on track to obtain by late 2020. I am looking forward to obtaining this qualification and working with the research team and gaining additional knowledge from them.

As well as being first point of contact for the Chester Office and looking after new and existing clients meetings, I have responsibility for arranging our presentations and co-ordinating our marketing activity. I have had over 15 years working within the Financial Services sector, gaining experience working at such companies as Zurich and MBNA.

I am based at our Oswestry Office and I am the first point of contact for the clients here. My role in Client Relations involves arranging client meetings as well as dealing with client requests and queries. I also assist with the running and administration of our seminars. Previous to working at Hartey Wealth Management I worked as a Service Controller at Hiab.

I currently work as a portfolio reviewer within the Research Team, dealing with the administration of portfolio reviews and snapshots to our clients. This comprehensive process requires a strong attention to detail and accurate information handling, all within a timely manner.

I have been working in Financial Services since graduating from University in 2017. Having gained a rounded introduction into Banking and Finance I am greatly looking forward to expanding my knowledge and experience within a great team.

I currently work as a portfolio reviewer and Trainee Paraplanner within the Research Team, dealing with the administration of portfolio reviews and snapshots to our clients. This comprehensive process requires a strong attention to detail and accurate information handling, all within a timely manner.

The last few years have been varied for me comprising of travelling and working overseas, completing a master’s degree and working within the investment banking industry. I am now looking forward to developing a career within the financial planning sector accompanied by the help of a skilled, experienced and professional team.
